Disney to reboot Star Wars Sequels?

Has anything like this ever happened to any series, ever, actually? I guess a total reboot? Like, on screen, in a theatre or on a tv-set. Gene may have said V wasn't it, or that TOS was wrong 'in-universe' but since we never see anything to the contrary why believe it? Even DIS and 09 try to shove themselves into the canon.

But yea Disney ain't going to change squat. THE SEQUELS WERE FINANCIALLY SUCCESSFUL. For 837 million they got 4.4 billion back! If, somehow, they bombed, then MAYBE, Disney would change - and most likely by doing a sequel to a sequel, a reboot, or a whole new trilogy in some other part of the galaxy. Even if you say 'Oh disney brought SW for 4.05 bil, spent 837 mil more, and only made 4.4 bil back, so they lost so-and-so', it's still not going to lead to a total rehash, especially now that Carrie Fischer is dead and Harrison Ford doesn't want to touch anything related to Han Solo with a parsec long pole. Disney has NO reason to do anything else, no matter what some few, and yes few, loud asshole 'fans' believe.

I do doubt any reboot of Star Wars will be as good as the reboot that already happened. I am talking about the "Family Guy" remake of the classic trilogy using their characters instead. I challenge any writer and director to top that!

Of course it won't be. The point of a reboot is not to exceed the original but to allow a new crew to bring in their own artistic sensibilities while playing with the concepts.

And this basically ends this entire topic.

DIsney made so much money of the franchise already, including the sequels. They're not here to please fans. It's wishful thinking if you believe headquarters would think 'wow....it seems a small but vocal amount of fans is really displeased with the sequels. We should give them something they deserve'.

And yes, the haters are a small amount. But like like I said, they are the most vocal ones. Sure, you could say look at reddit, or twitter, or 9gag and see how many people post that they really, REALLY hate the sequels. But add up all those posters, and compare them to the amount of people that have seen the movie. Then you'll see how small the amount of haters really is. They're just shouting a lot harder.
People like me, who enjoyed the sequels and didn't really mind some of the (perceived) flaws, just ignore those posts and move on by watching something we enjoyed and not caring about someone shouting on a forum or a YouTube comment.

Basically, the haters aren't the majority. You're just way louder.

Disney is absolutely going to make more Star Wars stuff. They are not erasing the sequel trilogy out of existence.

Don't post threads from clickbait sites.
