People were concerned about Section 31 being too official, but here we see Georgiou arrived in a medical transport, which suggests subterfuge.

Except it appears this is the episode with the scene featured in the trailers with Michael and Pike being extremely knowledgeable of Section 31 and what they do.

I'm not seeing that in the previews.

I am of course referring to the season trailer, which had Georgiou showing off her black badge, Michael recognizing it as Section 31 and Pike going on about black ops and covert ops. Some of the preview images posted from this episode appear to be from that scene.

Yeah but the lines could be out of context. The audio of Burnham saying Section 31 could be from a completely different scene.

Georgiou does show her badge in a Discovery turbolift in the trailer, that I can't think of a reason.

He also has standard Starfleet Deltas on his boot, not the Imperial logo.

I said the same thing:

His uniform boots also have the Starfleet delta not the Terran Imperial shield.

I'm guessing the Discovery catches up to Spock's shuttle and instead it is inhabited by Georgiou. Where's Spock? Section 31 intercepted him and had Georgiou pilot the shuttle as a wild goose chase for any pursuers.

One does wonder... Why are there no pursuers?

Why are Pike's people the only ones who make any use of this data on Spock's trail? Whose data is it that Number One got? Was the idea all along that only Pike would ever gain access to the data? Even if so, why aren't our heroes suspicious about this, about the total lack of pursuit other than themselves?

These questions can be answered in retrospect to our satisfaction, of course. Just like we learned late in the game that yes, Starfleet/Lorca had done an extremely careful background and medical check of Tyler before accepting him back to service, and that yes, there were good reasons for the checks failing.

I'm just hoping we do get an after-the-fact explanation here as well...
