Hmm, except people use polls all the time to get a general and unscientific feel for what opinion is(you may also have heard of exit polls and the like), which is much the same thing I did, and I have a large pool of opinion to draw from, so I'm very confident that a handful of people here really are not the ultimate good judge.So yeah, my opinion stands as is right now. Maybe in some fairy land reality you'll be right someday and I'm ready with a poll for that!
You confuse what you supposedly did (which is asking a handful of people's opinions in a yet unnamed Star Trek Facebook group) with a scientific collection of demographic data such as an (exit) poll (which also has been proven problematic in recent years)? Seriously?

Come back in here high on enthusiasm for DSC, only to find hostility... makes me sad.. Come in guys, we ALL want the same thing, for DSC to be the best show ever made..! It comes down to that I guess: I want this show to succeed, I WANT to love this show..! I guess for people like RAMA and myself it's just so incredibly f-n weird that some here seem to want the exact opposite...... and I guess we don't always respond in the best way because of it. Let's just get along all!

Well, Season One will be profitable for them. Whether there is a Season Two would depend on the ability of ST: D Season One to bring in/retain Subs for CBSAA (and what other deals they could make with Netflix for future seasons - OR - CBS decides the response is good enough that they use ST: D Season Two to take CBSAA to the International market themselves.)

I want it to succeed and be interesting as well. I'm hopeful based on what I've seen. But, the proof is always in the pudding. We'll all know much more in several weeks. Here's hoping for the best!
