Discovery at STLV. The massive info dump

STLV will have more info from more panels than even Comicon, despite the lack of a trailer.

4 Panels on the very first day:

Production info straight from the producers. I've asked Ted Sullivan about this and he promises insider info that fans want to hear because "he is a fan".

Neville Page also promises a lot of information about the designs and makeup to me. I've never seen anyone involved with Trek more eager to give out information.

Comic book tie-in cover and information revealed

Novel tie-in cover and info

Later in the week Ben Robinson promises announcements and new Eaglemoss ships. I'm expecting some Discovery prototypes.

There is a lot more stuff of course..Todd McFarlane himself will be revealing some Trek action figures. Some are supposed to be from DSC.

I don't collect them myself, but I know a lot of people do. I think there are no less than 3 companies making action figures or models of figures.
Does this dispell rumors about toy business people hating Discovery designs? Every day another annoying rumor pops up and I have no arguments to counter them because I know next to nothing about said industry.

Looking forward to the comics and books - will probably get a Funko figure if they get one, and tempted to invest in a model, or at least a poster, of the Discovery itself.

Also considering swapping out my usual calendar for the Discovery one.

Surprised, but flattered.

Definitely looking forward to seeing all the news roll in! Wish I could make it to STLV (one of these days) but one of the best parts of the internet is getting these updates from events going on in real time.

I will be there and looking forward to it a lot. I'm not a fan of the novels or comics so it's really the first three panels I'm really interested in.

According to something else I read, John Eaves was paying tribute to Joseph A. Walker, the first X-15 pilot.

If that's true, I love it!

That was just a hypothesis someone who posted in the reply section of that site wrote, without any evidence to back it up. It's more likely that the name is a joke reference to The Walking Dead.

I'm going as well & going to all 4. Waiting at BWI for my flight to Vegas now.
