Yeah the trailers don't really give any idea what the actual film might be like, so that does give me reason to pause on the excitement a bit.
The irony is that for a movie being all about disclosure, there sure is lots of secrecy leading to vagueness, which in turn is leading to it all feeling rather generic. I like Spielberg, but man what I've seen is not inspiring confidence. I almost feel like this movie would be much better off being connected to Close Encounters where the aliens that Richard Dreyfuss's character encounter are finally being disclosed.
