I'm glad you're going to stick with it. Despite some of the early episodes that I found average, I consider season 2 my third favorite season of the series, mainly because it expands the universe and really does an awesome job setting up what is to come later.

The middle of the season has a bit of a rough patch but it finishes really strong.

Yeah, watch out for that mid-section. At best, there's a few episodes that have some good ideas, but the execution falls flat.

(in fact, that can be said for a lot of 'winter months' DS9, save the odd Feb Sweeps stunner in the later seasons, but by then you'll be watching every episode regardless - yes, even all the Ferengi Episodes ...probably )

Nessacary evil is a A+ episode in my opinion.
