CBS All Access has its upfronts on Tuesday, and Nickelodeon opens up mechandise rights for 2021 on Wednesday.
I think we may get more announcements on Monday and Tuesday.

This is going to be an excruciating Victoria Day weekend for Canadian Trekkers and Trekkies.

I would very much like the Pike show to be episodic without any big season-long story arc. But I would like the characters to be able to have their own personal story arcs -- not a complete reset every episode.

In a way, I want them to pretend it's 1965 and treat the show as if it had been picked up by NBC based on the first pilot. But I don't think you could do that literally without it coming out as a TOS parody. There would have to be a balance between retro storytelling and modern sensibilities.

I re-propose these titles:
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds
Star Trek: Five Year Mission

My preference is for Star Trek: Strange New Worlds... so it definitely won't be that.
