Meanwhile, in the Mirror Universe....

Romulan fighting Kirk: "I cannot imagine a world existing in which I would ever call you...friend."

They actually spoofed the Kirk/Romulan Commander exchange in Midnight Run with Robert DeNiro and Charles Grodin.

At one point, DeNiro's bounty hunter and Grodin's annoying accountant/canary are sharing a ride on a freight train, and Grodin says something like, "You know, in a different reality . . . we'd probably still hate each other!" Would've loved to see Picard say that to Q, Sisko say that to Dukat, or Janeway say that to the Borg Queen!

Kang and Kirk? Sure, I can see that. I think one of the reasons Kirk got the Klingons' goat was he was a bit of a Klingon himself, minus the "a running man can cut a thousand throats in one night" attitude -- more like severely nick!

Oh, and Kissthestar? As for Scotty and Koloth as drinking buddies, it was actually Korax who threw the insults at Scotty, Earthers, and the Enterprise.
