Chlorine in its elemental form is a highly reactive, corrosive and deadly gas that must be transported and stored with strict safety precautions. So does that mean it shouldn’t be used as a disinfectant in our drinking water and swimming pools?Does not mean they should be in there to begin with.Just because something is potentially harmful in pure form in a 55 gallon drum (or however they transport the syrup) does not mean it's harmful in a 2 liter bottle or a 12 oz can diluted in water and mixed with a bunch of other ingredients.
