Did You Like Star Trek? Yes or No?

Talk about a fucked up family...
I do have some major reservations but overall I liked it and will give them a pass because it is a film that was necessary to reinvigorate the franchise.
It was the way it was partially because they had to do a reboot so that necessitated the plot to include time travel, the coming together of the crew etc. IOW, the writers were somewhat confined as to what they could write by what they had to accomplish in this movie.
I hope the next installment gets back to TOS type Trek, the drama, the exploration, the conflicts, the chemistry, the dedication, the tough choices etc.
I regard this film as one necessary to reboot the franchise (needed long ago). But it packed too much into 2 hours to have the drama and emotional impact that TOS Trek had.
