OK, I'm getting tired of non Trek fans telling me how Trek fans feel about Star Trek, so lets do this very simply. Did you like Star Trek, yes or no?

I voted "no", but it's not as clear cut as that. I'm rather conflicted about it.
There was a lot to like about this film. It's well acted, competently directed and visually, rather nicely designed (aside from a few stupid things - like the dreaded glass pipes in engineering, or the horrific Romulan ship interior). At the very least it's a good foundation for a new rebooted franchise, and it left me hopeful for the future.
Unfortunately, the script was balls. I like what this film represents (a fresh start), and Star Trek *needed* this, but the complete lack of substance as far as the plot was concerned was disappointing.
I can't honestly say "yes I liked this film" based on the fact that it's a shot in the arm of potential to an aging series. I have to judge it on its own merits, as a piece of fiction, and in that sense it falls short.

Yes... but the numbers i the grading and discussion thread are a lot more substantial than here.

Yes. Fun, entertaining, and a good film. (And honestly, lord knows that we haven't had that in a Star Trek film in a LONG time.)
Yes, a lot actually. As a fan a few things did bug me, and Nero's motivations weren't very clearly explained, but you know what, nothing is perfect. I really couldn't care less about it consigning the existing universe to an alternate dimension, it doesn't alter my enjoyment of the old series, films, books, etc a jot. Hell, if they do further movies it might be a blessed relief not to be subconsciously nitpicking based on 40 years of canon.

Yup, I loved it. Great action packed adventure. Just wish this was a series, I kinda want to tune in next week to see what happens next!
