Did they ever release The God Thing?

Boy, is that SPECTRE cover working overtime to resemble the original paperback edition of THE EXORCIST or what?

Bantam also published some of Frank Lauria's Dr. Orient novels with a pretty similar cover style. Well, if it worked for The Exorcist,,,

Then there was their Uhura book, to be written with Nichelle Nichols.

I used to have a lot of fun doing the Lost Books part of my old Star Trek books website. Scrolling through it now, I see some that finally did appear, like Preston Jones's book on TMP and the newspaper comic strip collections.

That is unfortunate that Steven Macdonald's Star Trek work never saw the light of day. Quality aside (I obviously can't speak to that, although the premises sound decent enough) it looks like he wrote two full manuscripts, and sample chapters from a third. They should have at least let him combine all three into one bonkers free-for-all novel. It couldn't have been any more disjointed than "Across the Universe".

And it is irritating that the "Star Trek That Never Was" just...doesn't exist.
