I was dismayed to see that damn prologue thing back. Really hate where it's placed and agree with others that it should be before the teaser.
You think it's "hilarious" that that little prologue is placed before the credits? Do you laugh out loud when you hear "Space, the final frontier" before the Star Trek theme kicks in?I guess I'm the only one who thinks it's hilarious! LOL.

I've already explained in the thread why i think the recap is hilarious.
^ I will agree that it becomes pointless if it's going to be in every other episode or whatever.
I don't know what Space showed, but BBC America's intro does feature Rory pretty heavily in the footage that Amy narrates.Although I understand why they do it, and I don't mind them doing it, seeing it again last night got me thinking that it really does paint the show as being The Amy Pond Show, which could backfire when Amy inevitably leaves. Also, why doesn't it mention Rory? Is this intro somehow telegraphing something about Rory's status on the show, both as a companion and as her husband?

Well last year was all about Amy and the Cracks and this year is all about Amy and her Magic Baby, so in an (unfortunate) sense it is The Amy Pond Show, whether we like it or not.
But seriously, we're three episodes in, we have ten episodes left to what makes you think you know exactly what's going to happen in the future? Have you seen the future or are you someone on the production crew?

I know enough about what happens in episodes 7,8 & 13 to say that this year is indeed the Amy and Baby show.
In what way is he poking fun at them? It's a completely straightforward mission statement, there's nothing in it that makes fun at any literary convention. Honestly, it's so short that there wouldn't be any room to turn it into a satire. What exactly leads you to think that it is in any way meant to be ironic?I am well aware of the actual reason why it is in there in the first place. I just wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't a cheeky attempt at Moffat to poke fun at recaps as well.
I think it's called the stinger or something(it just ruins those...whatever you call that sound effect that leads into the credits...moments).
