Did Sisko ever chew out O'Brien

or at least raise his voice in that-loud-type-staccato-way?

I cannont recall on time.

I always thought she did it in a loving way. Wives are often masters of the household and family business. So, she was a stern wife at times but she never belittled Miles.

^ Really? I thought she was kinda whiny...and sometimes even shrill.

Didn't care much for Keiko.

Not to get too deep into the subject, but alot of the times, when watching one of those Keiko/Miles scenes, I find myself thinking (or even saying aloud) "What is Keiko's problem?"

Kira, on the other hand... She rules. I liked the attitude early on, and I liked the way the character developed.

I know exactly what you mean. I find myself thinking every time I see Keiko on DS9 (with the exception of "Time's Orphan"), "turn off the bitch switch, Keiko." It's just unbelievable how much she NAGS O'Brien. Like, in "The Assignment", it's justified because she was being controlled by a Pah'Wraith, but, what's her excuse in all the other episodes she's in? In "What You Leave Behind", she says something like "They're not trees, they're shrubs." Who the hell cares? Tomato, tahmato! In "The Begotten", she's getting all over O'Brien's case because he felt like giving Shakaar a piece of his mind for strolling in late, and then has the audacity to tell O'Brien to miss the birth of his own child. Get bent, lady!

Let's not forget that she was the one who got cold feet in "Data's Day" anyway, so, maybe it's not entirely surprising.

As far as the original thread topic goes, all I can think of is when Sisko calls O'Brien into his office in "Hard Time."

I always thought the writers did a terrible job with Keiko, even going back to the beginning when she married O'Brien out of the blue. I have no idea how or why they stayed together!

They were married in "Data's Day" which was middle fourth season of TNG and Molly was born in "Disaster" which was early fifth season.

Sounds like a wife to me.

I liked Keiko. She reminded me of a cops wife. She worried about her husband and him getting into danger. About they future if he ever were to get hurt. He was the bread winner of the family, so she also relied on him a great deal.

Plus hanging around Bashir, O'Brien acted like a manchild. Keiko had to whip his ass back into shape and remind him he had a family and responsabilties too them.
