Did Picard and Sarek have a mind link like sarek and Michael had?

Discovery showed that after mind melding to save Michael's life, sarek and Michael were mentally linked to the point they can communicate inspite of being light years away. Michael wasn't initially aware of the link. Given how it was stated more than once that Picard and Sarek retained a part of each other, do you think their minds were linked as well? They might not have been able to telepathically communicate because of Sarek's disease. But if Sarek was in good health, would it have been possible?

Probably not, there might be different types of mind melds - Michael was a child, Picard was an adult that might cause a difference as well.

I think it would be awesome if Picard met Michael somehow. There’s no evidence Picard has a mind link with Sarek but Picard and Burnham’s shared intimacy with Sarek would create an instant bond.

Picard almost certainly knows who she is and might be the only living person who does, maybe other than Sarek’s 24th century wife. And any surviving Vulcans from her time.

Burnham wasn’t erased from history, merely presumed dead with a ton of classified details, and I don’t see how her relationship with Sarek would be one of them. Linking up with DSC could easily become the classic fan-serving cheat, doing it now but not in TNG years simply because DSC didn’t exist back then. The only way I see it is if Burnham herself can do something to initiate it in 2379+ (but not before and for a very, very good reason).

In-universe, though, the Picard-Sarek link would be just about the only thing that would make Sarek return to the issue of his adopted daughter, what with him being emotionally compromised and all. The subject might well surface, and startle Picard to a degree.

Then again, Sarek's track record would no doubt provide for endless startling. No wonder Picard was reduced to incoherent sobbing.

Sure, I mean there is probably a moment missing from Documentary Footage where Picard also screams “Michael!” Starfleet would’ve thought it best to cut it, avoiding inconvenient questions about mutineers of the past, and Beverly would’ve been bound by doctor-patient confidentiality.

Picard talks Crusher after the events "Sarek."

Picard- "Did you know that Sarek had a daughter?!"
Beverly- "Ummm... No? Is that significant?"
Picard- "Yes! You see, when I was younger man, I was quite the admirer. I read everything there was to read on the Ambassador, not just his Starfleet file, but I read the man's autobiography!"

Just like that, he and Beverly Crusher are both guilty of treason. To the gallows with them!
