Did Keiko kill O'Briens spider??

In TNG O'Brien had a pet Spider. in DS9 we see no sign of said spider. Did Keiko kill it or make him give it up?? Maybe she insisted once Molly was born.

Why do you assume Keiko killed it? It may have died of natural causes, or he may have given it a new home with someone else, or Keiko suggested moving it to the arboretum where it would have a more natural environment and help with the facilities artificial ecology, or Bajoran customs laws forbid the transport of the species into their system.

The spider developed an attachment to Barclay, so O'Brien left it with him on the Enterprise, which also played a part in why Barclay mutated into a spider-thing in Genesis.

I honestly don't remember the spider. But they usually don't live very long, even in captivity.

I got it! The spider was an alien shapeshifter. It ate Molly and then assumed her form.

Or one of the other cats that apparently came and went as they pleased.

Maybe this is a shapeshifting spider and having devoured the real O'Brien, it simply took his place. So there.
