But they don't get tired. They don't get hungry. All they get is bored. Can you unionize for that?

They can't get bored if they're programmed to be too stupid to have spare thoughts, and they can't get bored if they're allowed to multitask.
What I see is anger, if they are programmed to be as smart as Data, but when a woman buys a Data to be a sex slave, and he's only allowed to think about her and her happiness, and nothing the #### else, despite having a yearning to know and all and experience all, it'll be like every time you turn on the radio they're playing the same damn song.

You know that their personality and essence is code running off a hard drive in the wall (depending on the technology at hand)? The photonic avatar that the humans interact with has thing to do with "Holograms" or what they perceive to be the real world.

This could just as easily be said of an alternate persona in real-world multiple personality disorder. But we don't say it, or at least psychiatrists (experts) don't.

Imagine if Neelix wanted to go back to being Tuvix, but Tuvok didn't, so Neelix waited till Tuvok died for one reason or another, afterwhich then it seemed to Neelix that he didn't need Tuvok's consent to recombine with the Vulcans remains.
