Rey knew about Vader's redemption in TLJ, so unless Leia looped her in on the family lore before she left, it seems that that was part of the Legend of Luke Skywalker.


I think Owen just didn't care for Anakin. Looking back, I still think it would've made more sense based on how Beru and Owen talked about him (and their last names) for Beru to have been established as Anakin's sister, rather than Owen being Anakin's step-brother (or Obi-Wan's actual brother, which makes no sense at all; I wonder what they were thinking beyond "put this whole thing to bed" when they came up with that for RotJ).
