Did anyone like the bald Romulans?

I loved this movie's take on the Rommies. The TNG ridge was a horrible mistake, one I've yet to see a good explanation for.

The Romulan ridges are probably meant to be a racial thing, some Romulans have them, some don't. After all, Spock roamed the streets of Romulus publicly showing his forehead without ridges and no one cared.

Yes... the new Romulans rocked! I loved the new look. Of course, I'm bald, so I am biased... lol

I guess they were trying to make the Romulans look different from the Vulcans, but I don't remember seeing any ridges on their foreheads.

Firstly, these were just a group of Romulans, they were not necessarily suggesting ALL Romulans looked like this. They weren't in the military. That also goesfor the tattoos. I personally liked the look, and gauging from the reaction of people around me who saw the movie, I didn't see a single person dislike it.

i didn't mind them. I liked that there were different cultures with a race. That's something you don't tend to see in Star Trek, is, save for perhaps leading characters, all races are uniformly the same. Somehow I just can't see that happening in sentient species, unless they're of a hive mind or a small population.

I liked the look of the Romulans in the film quite a bit. I'm glad they went away from the TNG-VOY look. I liked the more smooth paned look.

As for black Romulans pre-Star Trek '09, there were at least two:
