Diane Duane and the Rihannsu saga

Was the Bloodwing story thing ever reprinted with all five books? I almost picked up the four book one at Half Price Books this weekend until it mentioned the fifth book coming out and I would rather have an all in one book.

The collection of the first three books (it's technically only three, it's just that the third was originally published in two volumes) was put out at the same time the final book came out, in order to get them back into print so the whole series could be read together. So that's the best you're going to get -- one trade and one regular paperback.

Hmm. I think I actually picked up some of the books in a recent lot buy, I'll check that first and then just pick up the ones I'm missing in that case.

thanks.

What "The Bloodwing Voyages" omnibus included, though, were little revisions to ranks etc, to make the earlier books synch with the latter ones. For example, the first two instalments assumed there was a second mission for Kirk & crew between TOS/TAS and TMP, and Nurse Chapel was off studying for her doctorate, replaced as Head Nurse by Lia Burke. By the time of the next books, this second (5 year?) mission was assumed to have happened after TMP.

I loved "T'Pol's World" in Captain's Peril. It said T'Pol = greatness and didn't hold up the story one iota.

Except if you'd just read other novels with mention of a ship named after Tucker, a monument named after Shran, a Sato namedrop in a Kodos storyline, a throwaway line about beagles being transported, the existence of a graduation hall at the Academy named after Archer, and then a park named after Therin. :techman:

At least Hoshi's presence on Tarsus IV was from the series itself. (Her bio in In A Mirror, Darkly indicated that she was among the colonists killed by Kodos.)

Sure, but only if you freeze frame - and much of those bios were prepared, just in case of need, but not even visible onscreen.

I wouldn't give too much credability to an on-screen graphic, particularly one that was wrong about the year Archer stepped down and Enterprise NX-01 was retired, and got the year of First Contact wrong in the timeline.
People have been using on-screen evidence far more obvious and visible to "prove" that Enterprise isn't even in the same timeline as TOS.

Plus, killing translation-queen Hoshi like that is just horrible:(.
