Describe A Series In A Single Sentence

The idea is simple: Using whatever series you want, summarize the show in only one sentence. It doesn't have to be exact, and you can focus on one particular aspect of the various series, or on the whole series itself.

I'll start, so you can have an idea of what to do. Remember, you don't have to make a description for all of them, though I do think it's more fun that way.


TOS
When he flying buttkicks you, watch out for the girdle, it hurts.

TAS
Half of the characters are inhabited by the spirit of Montgomery Scott.

TNG
The bald guy's going to talk his way out of it.

DS9
The changeling security chief never morphs into a giant, rolling boulder.

VOY
We look and sound like science, but we're not!

ENT
Guess who gets beat up again this week?

TOS: Kirk bangs green women.
TNG: Modern humans suck.
DS9: Future humans suck too.
VOY: A nerdy S&M fantasy.
ENT: Please keep giving us money.
 
TOS: Tibereus Tags Teeming Temptresses.
TNG: The Holodeck is the Only Reality.
DS9: Spencer's Sidekick Scores a Space Station.
VOY: Mrs. Columbo Gets Lost While on Stakeout.
ENT: A Creation That Should Never Have Existed
 
The drama of the human condition explored through the adventures of an intergalactic starship crew and their encounters with strange new worlds.
 
TOS: We replaced racism with specie-ism.

TAS: Sure its physically impossible but it looks cool.

TNG: We're exploring unknown worlds in the deepest reaches of space but we need a holodeck to ease our boredom.

DS9: A Starfleet outpost, a trading post, a spaceport, a hotel-casino & a mall.

Voyager: Instead of dropping everything and going home, lets fart around w the natives who hate us.

ENT: Geez, Vulcans are really condescending micro-managers.
 
TOS: Why Shatner had to tell millions to get a life.
TNG: We want to be taken seriously, dammit--make it so.
DS9: Don't f--- with the Sisko.
VOY: It worked for Gilligan's Island.
ENT: A reminder why Trek shouldn't be on a broadcast network.
 
TOS: Lightning in a bottle.
TNG: Partly unsuccessful attempt to catch lightning in a bottle again
DS9: Star Trek meets Hotel
VOY: Star Trek meets Lost in Space
ENT: Executive interference and poor acting can kill anything
 
TOS: A man asks two of his friends for help with the problem of the week, they give contradictory advice and he does his own thing anyway.

TNG: A bald guy gives good speeches.

DS9: A black guy's speeches aren't quite as good, but he gives good punches.

VOY: A bunch of morons fly their magically healing ship around in circles.

ENT: This captain doesn't give good speeches OR good punches.
 
TNG: Why do the same thing as Star Trek when you can do the same thing 10 times better?
DS9: Why do the same thing as Star Trek when you can do the same thing as Babylon 5?
VOY: Salamanders, Borg kids, and reset buttons, oh my!
 
TOS: Everyone is really just part of Kirk's subconcious.

TNG: Everyone is really just part of Barclay's Holodeck fantasy.

DS9: Real people being real gritty (but it's all still predetermined by the Prophets).

Voy: Everyone is really just part of the Doctor's memory banks.

ENT: Everyone is really just part of Barclay's Holodeck fantasy (through Riker and Troi).

ST: Kirk struggles against advanced but corrupted aliens.
TNG: The Enterprise crew tries to prevent and tone-down conflicts.
Deep Space Nine: A space station crew struggles on the frontline of conflicts.
Voyager: A stranded crew coasts back home by sticking to its ideals.
Enterprise: Archer inspires cooperation.
 
TOS: "We can admit that we're killers, but we're not going to kill today."
TAS: Trippy backgrounds and cool stories, told by coloring book pages with moving lips.
DS9: Political and interpersonal machinations.
TNG: "We're very enlightened and have adventures."
VOY: "Being lost really isn't so bad, and we actually have a lot of fun."
ENT: Boring folks doing more of the same though it said ot woiuld be different.
