Deleted scene descriptions!!

isn't this the first and only time that a constitution class ship, or better still, a TOS TV series constitution class starship has ever been on the big screen?
What big screen was this deleted scene on? ;)

I don't know who wrote the Klingon in that scene, but it certainly wasn't Marc Okrand. It's been years since I've ever touched Klingon, and I still know that practically none of what that version of Uhura said was Klingon Standard.

"Who fired at my ship?" - should be "DujwIj baHpu' 'Iv?" for example (literally, "ship-my shoot-(past tense) who?") And that's just off the top of my head.

According to Okrand, he worked on the film (as an uncredited consultant, I believe) and worked with four of the actors including Zoe Saldana. The producers sent him the lines and he would reply back with text and mp3, then worked with the actors off of the set.

The one Klingon actor that he didn't work with was probably on his own, and as Okrand joked, came from another part of the Klingon planet.

shame that big TOS ship wasn't shown in the 'haul ass' scene...imagine how dropdropping it wouldve been to see before the realisation it was a model

p.s. Does it mean TOS style constition class ships were zooming about pre Nero (and even post Nero for abit) and that the Capt April Enterprise from CD to Darkness was the traditional TOS Enterprise?

I would have LOVED to see the constitution class in the movie. I'm sure it would have given all the classic Star Trek fans a much needed buzz, no matter how brief it would be. Now correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this the first and only time that a constitution class ship, or better still, a TOS TV series constitution class starship has ever been on the big screen?

Not quite. As mentioned above, the original Enterprise was in the rec room in TMP. A graphic of the original Enterprise was featured in Spock's computer tests in TVH (see here) and a model of it is in the briefing room in First Contact.

A few thoughts:

1. That is SO much better than the Fan Dance

2. The first song that popped into my head for this dance was "Happy" by Pharrell. Minions are one thing, but Klingons are much better.

3. CANON VIOLATION! No one dances like that in the 23rd century!

Fucking yeah. And it looks like the Jefferies Connies are canon to new trek.

Why does Admiral Marcus have a giant model of a TOS-style (Prime Universe) Constitution Class starship hanging in his office!?!?! Should those ships even *exist* in the Alternate Universe!?!? And how do they fit in with ships like the Kelvin and all the Kelvin-type Starfleet ships...???

Also, looks like the video have been removed. :( Hope somebody saved them...or we may not see them again for a very long time...

I imagine that any explanation is valid for now until we hear otherwise from the powers that be. I personally choose to believe that the TOS connie was a prototype step along the development process for the JJ connie. After all, we know that the reason why the ships look so different in this reality is because of the aftermath of Nero's attack.

Perhaps the Constitution was in development when Nero attacked and Starfleet suddenly realized they had new threats to deal with but also got hold of information on new technology and created the Enterprise.

I don't suppose anyone here saved them? I completely missed everything.

Dang, I was going to, but never got around to it.

* cue sad trombone music *

Sad trombone music just makes it more depressing.

The guy who ripped and uploaded the Deleted Scenes got mail from Paramount, that's why they have disappeared.
