Defense of KAAAHHHN!!!

Kirk wanted to have Khan think he had won, to take him off guard when they escaped Regula.

Yep..and to sell it, he had to overact in front of his own people..KAHHHHN was Shatner's biggest over-acting moment at a time when he had to be overacting in the story..great academy award moment!!!

Kirk had to make sure that Khan and everybody else bought the ruse. With that one word, he hoped to deceive Khan by acting the desparate, defeated, and now thought marooned Kirk. It worked perfectly.
 
No need to make excuses - you can't parody something unless it stands out and is a bit unique. That is justification for many things in itself.

..unless those doing the parody are not taking the scene in context. Another Shatner Academy Award moment that was far too deep to be 'understood' by the common masses..

such as it is to be God.
