Did anyone else get really excited seeing both Nana Visitor and Michael Dorn in Ted 2, or was it just me?

I really enjoyed the first film and it's great to hear these two Star Trek luminaries are in the sequel. 
Maybe that was an intentional nod to the fact that the plot is basically Measure of a Man with a teddy bear.
