Plus, deck height needs to include the floor thickness. It's more than just the distance between floor and ceiling.

Spock's infamous turbolift ascent in addition to having far too many decks also has the deck numbers repeating themselves a couple of times. One explanation I read a while back proposed that the Enterprise-A had been finished in a hurry and they just grabbed some standardized lift tube sections from the Spacedock supply depot and did not bother to relabel them.

That kind of "head canon" is the biggest thing i hate about fandom: Taking a throwaway line of dialog or scene that had little to no confideration given it and drawing "in-universe" conclusions from it.
