Dec '08 Challenge-Time As A Guiding Star

Considering that I have a three year old and a one-and-a-half year old... man, I hear you loud and clear. I've been fighting with story ideas for this challenge now for the past day; had one, but it wasn't good enough.

Okay, with those two, how on earth are you managing to write a serial of your own and enter the challenges! My two (turning four and turning two) have taken every thought I have!

Lots of multi-tasking! And lots of staying up late after they go to bed for the night, in the hopes that I'll be able to get some words down. Needless to say, I've gotten a lot less prolific than I once was. ;)
 
I have a question.

Does the time travel/AU have to be literal? Does it have to involve actual, physical time travel, or an alternate universe? Or can it be figurative?

I can't say too much more without describing the whole story. It involves travelling to another time, or an alternate reality--just in a figurative sense.
 
I think if it deals with the past or future then it involves time travel. I can't say for your story without knowing more, but it almost sounds like you might be talking about a christmas carol. In which case I hope so cause thats my idea too.
