Dear people who go to see movies in 3D:

Hello, I know that movies coming out on 3D has been the biggest, new, thing for the last year or so and the technology itself has been around for several decades; but it seems as if the the concept of the whole thing including pretty basic physical laws seems to have escaped you.

Most notably is this: Just because the objects appear to jump out of the screen, into the theater and into your face? That doesn't mean you can reach out and touch them. So when you're grasping at the air like an idiot thinking that those 3D objects are really in front of you? You look like retard.

Thanks.

Maybe people are sillier where you live but I have never seen anyone in any audience of a 3D movie reach out and try to grasp objects despite the fact I have been to several 3D movies.

Went and saw Tron Legacy the other night and had people doing it. (I think more-so during the trailers and stuff where there's more "jumping out at you" 3D than in the movie itself) People, not many mind you, of all ages were doing it.

Me, I just sat there and watched it (except during a logo/spot for I think IMAX where the words where bright blue-white lettering was flying at you "beyond the range of the glasses" I had to close my eyes as it actually hurt them to have this happening. Not that I thought the words were going to hit me but because they were actually painful to my eyes.

You seem to confuse "being pissed about" and "making a dry-humorous post about the irrational behaviors of people."

Don't worry about it's a common mistake.

My apologies. I would have expected a "dry-humorous post" to actually be funny. Another common mistake, I suppose.

Dear 3D Movie-making Studios,
Please spend the money to actually film in 3D. Do not waste your money and convert 2D film.
It looks like popup books, not 3D.
Thank you.

I've yet to see a 3D movie. Hopefully, people won't be doing this when I finally get to see one.

I saw people doing this in the Bugs movie at Disney World. But then there are also spikes going into your back, water being piped into your face and other shit happening around the theatre.

Maybe they can be excused?

Oh, come on. That's all part of the ritual of going to a 3D movie. People have been doing it since the 1950s.

I know I did it at THE CREATURE OF THE BLACK LAGOON and HOUSE OF WAX . . . .

(At revival houses, I hasten to add. I'm not that old!)

When I got to a movie, I don't pay that much attention to what other people are doing. If they want to flail around spasmodically, that's not my business, unless they knock over my popcorn.

But if you put your hand up in front of your face, wouldn't it be superimposed on the 3D object in your view? That might be cool to see. Next time I go to a 3D movie, I'll try doing that.

And if anyone in the audience doesn't like it, they can learn to mind their own fucking business. :rommie:
