Dealthy Hallows DVD release date?

I got all pumped to buy the new Harry Potter blu-ray tomorrow, but then I looked at the release date. Why is it coming out on a Friday when everybody knows DVDs come out on Tuesdays? Who made this decision, and why are they trying to ruin my life?

It's probably coming out on Friday to have a big release day all to it's self. I believe the last "Twilight" movie came out on DVD during a Wednesday.

There need to be laws to prevent these things. Tuesday is Movie Release Day, dammit!

well you can allways get the chronicles of narnia dawn trader . I hope dvd day does move to friday chronicles came out on friday . and most people get paid on friday .

Tuesday wasn't always "Movie Release Day"...and truth be told, I hate it. I mean, why Tuesday? I'd prefer Friday since it's closer to the weekend.

I have no idea how timothy's response in this thread has any point at all with what you were asking RoJoHen. Totally an off topic comment from him, but I'm not surprised. Sorry you were in a car accident. I hope you're okay.

I'm guessing that they didn't make DVD street release date day on Friday because most people have plans on the weekend (key word being most lol). Yeah I'm convinced this is just a money grab and yes I can see it sucking for people who were looking forward to getting it today.

It's also Emma Watson's birthday on the 15th, but I'm sure that's just a coincidence.

It also puzzles me why sometimes DVDs are released on a Friday, though frankly I'd prefer that, since I won't actually watch a DVD bought on Tuesday until Friday anyway.
