DC's New 52: Reviews and Discussion (Spoilers welcolme and likely)

Definitely something that can be skipped.

Though I fear they'll probably stack up a body count if they get to use the heroes of the pre-FP DCU.

Just look at what happened last time the main DC heros were shunted off in to being in another universe.

Golden Age Batman: Dead
Golden Age Robin: Dead
Golden Age Superman: Dead
Golden Age everyone else except the ones ported to New Earth: Dead

Honestly not looking good.

To be fair, the Golden Age Batman died almost a decade before COIE. the GA Superman survived and the JSA wound up fighting an endless Ragnarok.

Has anyone been reading Justice League United? So far I am not all that impressed. I may be dropping it after the conclusion of the current story.

is that the one where Hawkman lost his hand in the first issue? that was the only issue i read. i've cut back on my DC titles now that Forever Evil is over.

I expected more given the fact Jeff Lemaire was writing it...but yeah it's lost my interest already.

I'm not excited about the Band-Aid project at all. Probably will be avoiding it. They most likely would have been better off just closing shop like originally planned for the two months and focusing on their move.

^
Those who still go to the comic shop, I imagine, are very much habit shoppers. If there were no new DC books on the shelves for two months, then they'd theoretically be less likely to buy DC when the books come back.

It's the reasoning behind "Fifth Week Events."

Just finished reading the latest issue of Justice League 3000 and I am finding myself enjoying it. IS anyone else still reading it?

Ok, I've been enjoying Batman Eternal thus far, but I had a really hard time getting into #11. I don't know if it was the weird story or the weird art or both, but I had a hard time getting through it. I think it was mostly the art that threw me off.

I thought the art and the writing was intentionally suppose to evoke memories of Morrison's run on Batman. The art especially which imo has shades of Quitely and Burnham.

^ That was my impression as well.

As for Justice League #3000...I'm on the borderline of dropping it. I absolutely LOVE Porter's art for this. The twins to me are the most interesting characters in the series.
