But I think he got the marks in Year One.

Though I wonder how they'll reconcile his stance that the costumed freaks stole Gotham City from hard earners like him with the Court of Owls running Gotham since it was founded.

Yep. I got the details wrong. "When In Rome" was just the follow up to the aftermath of that.

Now I'm trying to figure out how anything from Year One and the Loeb/Sale collaborations can work with Zero Year. And I'm coming up totally empty.

They can't really. Zero Year has kind of retconned them despite the fact that wasn't supposed to be originally the intention.

1) Dick does indeed go work for Spyral (from Batman Inc) in Grayson as some have suspected from the cover that was shown awhile back.

2) The advanced Future's End solicitations for September have no creator credit.

Most interesting however is the SM/WW and WW ones are actually connected storywise for once as are the solicitations for SM/WW 10 and SM/WW emphasizing Diana as War. Perhaps a clue of who is going to be the next WW writer?

Oh I hope editorial has changed their mind about the Finches and instead given the book to Solue. That would keep me still reading.

My guess has always been DiDio from reading into various comments and previous interviews about the subject. Tomasai I'm sure is just going along with it. Didio hasn't always been on board with Grant's work in the past.

I stopped reading Batman after Darkseid killed him.

A shock to no one, but Joker is returning...eventually. My guess is that we will see him in a major story next summer. I wouldn't be surprised if Eternal re-introduces him in its final chapter.

Hopefully they dump Snyder's version. Is it really that hard to write the guy as a psychotic clown? Why the need to add these extra unnecessary layers to him?

Snyder's version is awesome and obviously seems to have the approval of DiDio and others since they've been spotted wearing the Faceless mask at cons. I understand this version isn't for everyone but it's been pretty interesting. I like the fact that he's been used sparingly. I do suspect though that they will revert to a more traditional Joker once Snyder and Capullo are finished.
