DC's New 52: Reviews and Discussion (Spoilers welcolme and likely)

It sounds like (haven't read the issue yet) DC is building up to the 52'Verse's first "Crisis" (since DiDio established back at the start of the relaunch all Crisises were no longer valid).

Good lord, does that mean that Trinity War becomes Forever Evil becomes First Ever Crisis on Infinite Earths?????

i don't really see what the point of bringing in the Anti-Monitor is. except to sell comics of course.

Swamp Thing #28 - really enjoyed the detail backstory on Capucine. It's obvious from the omission the plan is to reveal and/or bring back her eternal "brothers" in some way. May not be pleasant. Ties to the Demon Etrigan are never a good thing afterall.

I am curious as to why when Alec Holland escaped the Green and brought Wolf, Lady Weeds etc why Alec wasn't also returned to human form like the other 3? Why would Alec retain his Avatar body and not them? All were ex-Avatars so their station should've been the same. I think that the Red may come calling for Lady Weeds, or the Rot based on that quick act with the snake.

Waiting to see what Seeder/Floronic Man has to say about Holland destroying the Parliament and severing the Greens connections.

Thought this was a very good issue.

I never really got how the Antimonitor was the Sinestro Corp's Guardian.

He, "it", seemed like a mascott more than anything else.

I haven't read Green Lantern Corps or Red Lantern in 6 or 7 years... What the #### is growing on Guy Gardner's face??!!??!!

I'm not sure what is going on with Justice League #3000 and now that Giffen interview has made things more confusing/interesting. I think he was quoted as saying like he is going to lie to us a bunch of times before the first arc is through. I'm on the verge of dropping it anyway. I had high hopes for this, but it's been kind of meh, I love the art though.

Batman #28 was awesome.

It reminds me of when Image did a couple of books that flashed forward to issue #25 (back when they were around #5 or #6). Some very bad things have happened to Gotham City in Batman Eternal, and we see some of the fallout.

The general situation reminds me of No Man's Land.

Batman's relationship with Harper Row is interesting. It reminds me, frankly, of his relationship with Stephanie Brown way back in the day, when he was reluctant to see her on the street in a costume.

The new "kingpin" of Gotham was a surprise. And I'm really curious what the crime lord's goal is.

I wonder who's manning the computer back in the Batcave. Carrie Kelly, perhaps? Or perhaps not, since she seems to have been dropped like a hot potato.

And, the Stephanie Brown reveal. I like how her costume is a mash of her Spoiler and Batgirl costumes. The body is the Batgirl costume, but with darker colors (so, the purple side panels and a darker gray body), no Bat-symbol, and a purple belt. And, of course, her silly thigh pouches. And instead of the Batgirl cowl, she has the Spoiler hood.

Frankly, this was a nice respite from "Zero Year," which I'm enjoying but which also seems interminable right now.

Haven't been reading much of the New 52, but have recently found the Earth 2 and Worlds' Finest books to be interesting and entertaining. especially Worlds' Finest. Nice to see Power Girl and the huntress getting some quality time.

I love Zero Year, and I was a little pissed b/c I was anticipating the next issue and got this instead  But it is nice to see Batman's Angels.
