New Guardians this month was really good! They've introduced a fascinating sci-fi concept here. Sort of like "Turn Left" on a massive scale. I'm excited to see where this story goes.

Yes.

They said it wasn't going to but it clearly is.

Yeah Snyder originally stated that Zero Year wouldn't retcon it...but now as it's gone deeper and longer, it clearly is. I have no problem with the changes that have been made either.

Zero Year isn't doing anything with the Falcones, is it? Does this invalidate Long Halloween and its sequel as well?

The Falcones have been mentioned early on the arc I believe...and remember that "The Long Halloween" and "Dark Victory" were basically meant to be "year two" type stories.

All this retconning of the retcon so early...kinda only firms up what a cluster the nu52 really is. Few bright spots but as a whole I'm disappointed.

Well I had been away from comics for about 15 years and only decided to start picking up comics again when DC relaunched. Having missed 15 years of continuity it has worked pretty well for me so far. I did find Green Lantern a little odd to pick up because it was pretty clear I was jumping in in the middle of a story but other than that I have liked it so far.

Were the specific events of Year One mentioned post reboot? I'm not tied to any specific version of an origin. All that matters is if the broad strokes are there.

It does lend some credence to the story that Snyer was specifically allowed to write Year Zero to supersede Year One due to behind the scenes events over DotF.

There's been retconning since the very start of the relaunch...not just Zero Year which is establishing the beginning of the 52'Verse continuity and which I don't consider the same thing.
