How... how do they know what percentage another book sold of Batman if they don't know how much Batman sold, and how much the other book sold? X/Y = 20%? This is voodoo economics.

However, Diamond took out about ten percent of the titles marked with an asterix because they were returnable.Batman is the base at 100, OMAC sold just under a fifth of the base. Once we know what Batman actually sold (nobody has worked it out yet), we will know what the other comics sold.
So if Batman sold 200,000 issues and a comic is 50 of base, it sold 100,000 issues.
I'm not keen on Perry's redesign. To me, he has a strong resemblance to how Marvel generally draws Nick Fury.

No, the other one.

Yeah, that one.
It's not a deal-breaker, of course. It is just that when I first saw NuPerry, I thought "Nick Fury got his eye back and now runs the Daily Planet. Wow, DC really is trying out new things!"![]()
I don't think you need to know what Batman sold. I think all you have to do is use a title whose sales have stayed even throughout the period or that has moved by predictable increments. Then you can use that to figure out how much Batman or the other titles have sold.Batman is the base at 100, OMAC sold just under a fifth of the base. Once we know what Batman actually sold (nobody has worked it out yet), we will know what the other comics sold.
Is the 80s when they made Brainiac look like a robot? Because they turned him into one in the mid 60s - they claimed at the time that they'd known in-house that he was a machine ever since his second or third appearance.
Do I need to read the rest of Dc universe if I just want to read Ivampire.
Pretty much you need to read about fifty of the comics, yeah, if you want the vampire story continuity and mythology to make sense.
He was kidding...
I read my first DC issue of the week last night, Animal Man #2.
As I noted earlier he's not a character I've followed and only aware of in vague terms.
Ergo, I'm just on the ride so far. Issue #2 was interesting but was more Animal girl than really about Buddy. Have Buddy's kids, or in this case, little girl been shown like this before? I'm seeing parallels of a sort in how the Swamp Thing family dynamic has at times been shown over the years. Curious to see what 'The Red' tree has in store next month.
