DC's New 52: Reviews and Discussion (Spoilers welcolme and likely)

^ Exactly. Trinity War indeed. What I did find interesting about the issue that I didn't comment about in my above post...was the reveal of "The Outsider" who I believe was a character in the alternate Flashpoint reality...and of course the manipulation of Superman. I suspect that this will get better as we move along.

It's not really surprising since Johns is working his Flashpoint Captain Thunder concept and Element Woman into Justice League and JLA. The Outsider was always one of these concepts that seemed like he had further plans for.

"Superman Unchained #2" was pretty decent. Lex Luthor does indeed look a teeny bit like Grant Morrison. This mysterious "Superman" is interesting as well. I liked the Bruce guest appearance along with the partial splash page reveal of the Batcave. Jim Lee really loves doing those doesn't he?

I'm digging Unchained so far.

I do wish there were fewer two page spreads, because, while pretty, they advance the story exactly one panel.

Like how the three issue JLA origin story was stretched to six issues? That's what you get if you buy Lee's books.

I'm so happy Astro City is back. Another great issue so far. Also read "Batman #22" and thus far Batman Zero year has far exceeded my expectations. Seeing Bruce slowly find his way into becoming Batman while stumbling and falling, as well as that balance between Batman and Bruce Wayne has been great as well. Greg Capullo is just knocking the art out of the ballpark as well. Fantastic stuff.

Wonder Woman #22: Just an incredible issue. I absolutely love what Azzy is doing with the New Gods. Cliff Chiang's art continues to be stellar as well. This is still my favourite New 52 title.

Justice League of America #6: Second part of Trinity War...still mixed thoughts on this so far, but we do get some progression of plot. It is becoming more clear to me now that this "event" is set up for Forever Evil.

Pariah, Lady Quark and Phantasm showed up in the latest issue of Vibe. Some of the other ARGUS prisoners looked familiar, too.

A lot of the escapees were Morrison created villains from DP, JLA and SS.

Edit: And it appears confirmed that Kindt is writing a Sinestro Corps book.
