Spoilers DC's Legends of Tomorrow - Season 4

By the way, I just rewatched the season premiere, and I'm wondering -- what's that weird song that plays when Ray and Zari first show up in Woodstock, the one that sounds like it's being sung by Kermit the Frog? I've heard it a lot lately in some car commercial, I think, and it just sounds so odd to me. I hadn't realized it was from the Woodstock era. It sounds kinda like an older blues-rock number being played at too fast a setting on the record player.

It's Going Up the Country played by Canned Heat at Woodstock. More than a few Woodstock era bands had a blues influence.

Just caught the opening episode and a Unicorn killing hippies at Woodstock...

:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

I can think of a poster, who could do with being sprinkled on by a Unicorn.

I think the split screen, multiple images at the same time was a tribute to the Woodstock concert film. I own the Blu Ray but have watched it once. That certainly is not something this show has ever done before.

Makes sense. The song we were talking about above was featured in that film, according to Wikipedia.

Hmm. The Guy Ritchie The Man from U.N.C.L.E. movie, which was set in the '60s, used a similar moving-splits technique at times. I figured it had to be paying homage to something from the '60s -- maybe it was that film. Or maybe the Woodstock film used a technique that other filmmakers from the era also employed.

The use of split screen in the Woodstock movie was the idea that Martin Scorsese came up with to best utilize the large amount of footage that was shot during the concert.
It's a technique he was later brought on to use again in the Elvis On Tour movie.

I think this show has ruined unicorns for me. I saw two today, one on a box of Pop Tarts while out shopping, and one on an episode of Bewitched, and both times all I could think of was Legends' unicorn.

So you're this guy?

So -- a fairy godmother in Salem. (And played by the voice of Mama Cosma from The Fairly Oddparents, probably not a coincidence.) Did anyone else notice that her magic wand looked a lot like a unicorn's horn?

A strong dramatic episode for Zari amid the silliness. But I'm surprised that they melted down her amulet, leaving only the air totem stone. Do they want to distance her still further from her basis in Filmation's Isis character, even though they've never actually called her that?

And the reason Constantine "joins" the Legends (or rather, hires on as a live-in consultant) is because he's running away from some demonic force. That fits. And of course he doesn't tell them that he's put them in danger from whatever it is.

The more I watch this show the more I love it's offbeat take on a lot of things. The whole thing was hilarious. Loved the fairy godmother and the fact she'd rather endure Hell than piss off whatever Demon is coming after John Constantine.

Another great episode.
We got some fun stuff with the Fairy Godmother, and at the same time some nice serious stuff for Zari.
I loved the reactions whenever the Fairy Godmother started to sing.
It definitely seems like whatever is after John is pretty scary, I'm guessing it'll end up being our big bad this year.
The stuff with Nate, Ava, and Gary was pretty good to. I kind of hope Gary trying to show off his unicorn bitten off nipple becomes a running gag, the whole situation is so ridiculous.
