Spoilers DC's Legends of Tomorrow - Season 1

^^
NBC doesn't own the rights to Constantine.
If anything is preventing him from returning it's DC's plan for a JL Dark movie.

Do you have cable/sat? You might be able to watch it on demand which should be accessible from your system remote.
PC/Laptop: Open the link: http://www.cwtv.com/shows/dcs-legends-of-tomorrow and then pick Night of the Hawk from the latest episodes.
Tablet: If you browse to www.cwtv.com it will probably show a prompt offering to install the app (CW's custom viewing application). Click that to install and then you can use that to watch.

Thanks. I do have a laptop, so maybe if I'm feeling ambitious . . ..

One of these days I'm going to have to figure out how this whole Hulu/Netflix/streaming business works, but at present I still prefer to watch TV on TV--as God intended. :)

The watch via the website option is a downright old-fashioned experience...you can't skip the commercials. Plenty of time for potty breaks and hitting the fridge.

They do have the license still I think. Since the show previously airing on their network. It is also why there are no Itunes, Amazon or home video releases for the first season. The JL Dark movie doesn't seem to be moving forward and all the small screen Constantine is tied up between different networks.

The tagline for this show should be eff the butterfly effect.

They seem to kill/save a lot of people who wouldn't have died/lived without them intervening

Maybe its a predestination paradox, and they were always supposed to kill those people, meaning that if they hadn't gone back in time, they'd have real problems with people being alive who weren't supposed to exist.

Constantine is in reruns on the El Rey network.

It's not a predestination paradox. Rip has seen the proper shape of time, and decided to take a hammer to it. A predestination paradox is when you are inadvertently making changes to create the timeline you're trying to avoid. Rip looked at time. Saw that he and the legends were not involved, and then became involved.

K.

As soon as they saw the knife.

They should have taken it a million years into the future and left it there.

Carter comes back to life.

(Or he dies differently)

How dumb are these people?

Dumb enough to send the black guy to mingle with the teenagers in a lily-white 1950s town...?

Yeah, that was mind-bendingly dumb on their part. He doesn't even have any training as a fighter. They just sent him out alone to get beat up (best case scenario) or lynched.

There was some cute comedy, but I really did not care for the 1950s episode. From the clumsy censored way they deal with racism and homophobia to the lameness of Vandal Savage posing as a doctor with a fake wife to the laughable hawk mutants to the abrupt ending where Chronos shows up out of nowhere yet again.... not a lot to gush over in this one.

These guys are so lucky. Jax just happened to find the one girl in Racist USA willing to date a black man, who managed to immediately forget the boyfriend she was grieving over who disappeared just last night... and Sara just happened to immediately stumble across the one lesbian in town... :brickwall:

I'm actually pretty shocked to hear the show got renewed. I read things about how the show was way too expensive for the network. I really, really hope Season 2 is NOT about Vandal Savage but someone else. I still don't think the character or the actor are working.

I agree Mr. Light the actor for Savage and the character are both not working. Savage needed to be written more like his name but with the change in his origin I guess the character had to be changed as well.

I spent four years trying to catch specific reruns of Ally McBeal trying to complete my collection on home recorded video tape, using a calendar to figure out when episode 16 and 17 of season 3 were going to air on reruns. (I didn't have cable for the first three years, and then I missed it a couple times in syndication.).

Years later, I found these episodes on prerecord vhs slip case box sets at K-Mart. $5 = half a season.

Years later still, after my last video player died, I downloaded 5 seasons over night with (the now defunct) megaupload, and burnt them to dvd.

Currently my new (second hand) lap top becomes difficult when I open it's dvd tray and fill it.

This story has not ended.

Why bother with things like megaupload when you can just torrent things almost insantly these days? Safe, virus free.... i couldn't live without torrents. I'm archiving television history. :D

Where do I know Jax' date from? She looked incredibly familiar, but just fail to place her.
She looked familiar to me as well. Reminded me of Alexis Bledel. Just looked her up. Melissa Roxburgh. She's appeared on Arrow and will be in Star Trek Beyond.

Before the episode aired from looking at the publicity photos alone I thought the character might be revealed to be an ancestor of Sara Lance. The actress has a strong resemblance to Caity Lotz
Yeah, she does, in this picture.

When a network cancels a show, they no longer have any claim to it, and the studio is free to shop it around to any other outlet that may be interested in it. Warner Bros owns it, and it's strange to hear they aren't allowing digital sales or rentals thru iTunes and Amazon. They may not believe there's a large enough base to justify a physical media home DVD release. Just as they've also not released Almost Human on disc either. Would love that one on blu ray.

The really strange part is that Constantine used to be available through Amazon Streaming but is now no longer available for sale. I wonder what changed.

Constantine was also available on Itunes when it was airing, according to a friend of mine. Now, it's been pulled off of all the aforementioned sites and there are no plans in the foreseeable future to make it available.

Vandal Savage posing as a doctor with a fake wife

Who says she's fake?

Jax just happened to find the one girl in Racist USA willing to date a black man

I'm sure there was a lot more than one such girl; the media of the time just didn't acknowledge it.

, who managed to immediately forget the boyfriend she was grieving over who disappeared just last night...

I'm sure it took somewhat longer than that for Savage to get his operation up and running. Remember, on arrival, Gideon found news reports of a string of unsolved murders, no doubt the work of Savage's hawk mutants. So this had been going on for a while.

and Sara just happened to immediately stumble across the one lesbian in town... :brickwall:

Again -- probably a lot less rare in reality than the fiction of the time would lead us to believe.

Logically (and ridiculously but using massive generalities) all the black men that ventured too close to white women back in the day, wouldn't have to be tarred and feathered if the white women were not all intrigued and allowed things to progress past third base.

If the white women were not interested, and the black men were smart enough to always look at their shoes, but they were still being murdered by white men anyway, it's possible that it's paranoia at work here more than racism.

Although if almost every American Woman was constantly on diet pills (meth/speed) between 1949 and 1965, it was not illogical to guard them like they were all small irrational children, giving in to their base impulses ignoring taboos, and seducing young sexy black men.

(Yup. I may be talking about your Gammy or Greatgrangammy.)
