Spoilers DC's Legends of Tomorrow - Season 1

It looks like they're running down a cliff face, and the only thing that's derivative of, is the Man from Snowy River.

Sara is not going to wear a shitty wig?

I like the trailer and they're an odd assortment of characters and the show has an interesting premise. It does sounds like though that it could an very expensive show.

I realize I've lost track of Joe Dante -- I haven't seen a movie from him since Looney Tunes: Back in Action a dozen years ago (wow, that long?). Apparently he's done a couple of movies since then that I don't think I ever heard of -- The Hole and Burying the Ex, and a segment of a horror anthology called Trapped Ashes -- and has mostly been doing TV, most recently a lot of Hawaii Five-O and an episode of Salem. I used to be a big fan of his movies, but as far as I knew until now, he might as well have disappeared.

Looney Tunes: Back in Action was the last film of his I saw as well. I've read that he was very unhappy with how Warner Bros meddled with that movie. That the people at the studio had no of idea of how the characters are supposed to be. So he had to fight them on everything.

His movies since that have been very low budget and limited release. He has had a few projects in development for years that have never gotten traction.

Well, he seems to have won a lot of the fights, because the characters were pretty well-captured there. Certainly a damn sight better than in Space Jam, where they were pretty interchangeable.

That's a shame. He was such a major part of genre cinema in the '80s and '90s, and had such a distinctive, quirky style.

That would be amazing if Ray was also secretly Kal-El.
