They seem to like using that set for Ollie-Barry heart-to-hearts.

Hi guys, and in particular the moderator. I'm pretty certain when this thread was first started that it didn't carry a spoiler warning on the thread title, it was set up to discuss the Arrowverse crossovers in general and not to discuss in detail specific crossover episodes, at least not as they were broadcast hence the lack of a spoiler tag. It was also a place to host the debate about merging Earth's 1 & 38 which admittedly we've moved on from, at least for now. When I went into the thread this morning I didn't see the Spoiler warning as I'm used to coming in here without such a warning being present, and found lots of spoilery posts about last night's episodes. Can I point out to everyone who's been doing this that not everyone who frequents this thread will be able to view these episodes until at least next week as they don't air in the UK for instance until then. In doing this, until part four of the crossover has been shown on Sky TV, people like me are forced to avoid this thread if we don't wish to be spoiled which I don't think is very nice. Why weren't discussions kept to the individual show's threads, (another set of threads I can't visit when the shows are airing without being spoiled) or a new thread started especially for Crisis on Earth X? Sorry about griping and I accept that we may eventually have to spoil people from certain parts of the world if we are discuss such matters here.

Great episodes. So much there. Totally missed Bill Katt as dissolving minister. But I don't see how "one night stands are a guy thing" when the presence of a female is pretty much required.

Not much to go on, but considering the resistance on that world included Guardian and so far all of the Nazi doppelgangers are Caucasian so...yeah. I think the Aryan ideal is still in full force.

As for how Kryptonian refugees might fit into it: that the members of the House of El just happen to look like Caucasian humans is almost certainly just happenstance, but it's enough for them to pass and with powers like those it's much wiser to adopt them as their own than attempt to oppose them. Either way it's continent propaganda.
Actually thinking about it a little more, from what I gather the justification for the "master race" nonsense was that the "Aryan's" were descended from gods, or demi-gods or some such. It wouldn't be too much of a stretch to see them claim that they are of that "pure" divine bloodline or some such.

It probably didn't cross his mind that his kids would be as stupid as he was with the time traveling. :D

Not every "white" person on Earth-X is part of the New Reich, as Parts 3 and 4 will demonstrate.

Nobody's saying that every white Earth-Xer is a Nazi, just that every Earth-X Nazi is white (which really goes without saying -- duh, they're Nazis). Those are two completely different premises. (E.g. saying that all giraffes are mammals is not the same as saying that all mammals are giraffes.)

I just skimmed through this whole thread to avoid spoilers, but just from the tidbits I saw, I'm pretty glad I'm waiting until tonight.

In theory, I should be able to start last nights stuff right after dinner, and my DVR should be all caught up by the time I'm done with the Arrow stuff.

But the gist I'm getting is everyone really thinks it's been great so far -- sans the bigots -- so I can't wait!

In the lap of squalor I assure you.
There's this cartoon movie, where Zod adds his baby batter to an artificial womb ahead of Jor-El, so that it is Zod and Lara's baby that is sent to Earth as Krypton explodes, which means that everything is just a little different, including Superman's face.

I thought that Alex was hooking up and having one-night stands before she got her life together and joined the DEO.

They ought to and I thought they did last time.

I figured that she was a Legion member from the 31st century or something.

So did I. Of course, he looks a lot different from his Greatest American Hero days.

Didn't they also say he died in 1994? Did the Nazi's get future medical tech?
    Or could be propaganda.

I found it funny that they were using MP40s, except with a modern day scope.

Didn't we already see white rebels in Part 1's opening?

He would have been 105 so that's plausible. Though at that age, something else could have been involved.

I'd bet that they expected people to wonder where Ollie got the Kryptonite without necessarily having an answer. But given that he has multiple dimension-hopping acquaintances, it's entirely possible that he did some homework and got somebody to fetch some from Earth-1.

But mama, that's where the fun is.

    And mumblier.

This sort of discussion is exactly what this sort of thread is made for. There's a Marvel thread that was made for similar purposes when Agents of SHIELD was following up on the events of The Winter Soldier. By the rules of individual series threads, we'd have to discuss the Arrow episode while assuming that people hadn't seen the Supergirl episode and vice versa, which is ridiculously cumbersome.

He was already sick by the end of the war. It is doubtful he'd live past the 60s.

I didn‘t put a spoiler warning in the thread title, but allowed them in the original post.
Granted, at this stage one might skip the first page, so maybe a mod would be so kind to add one to the title now.

I'd love to speculate that they put Hitler's brain in Superman's body, but then I'm pretty sure they wouldn't be dissing Hitler.

Just rewatched the waitress scene. I'll bet we'll be seeing more of her.
