Mrs. Maisel is a fast talking, quick witted comedian from the 1960s. So the actress can handle that type of Lois.Never watched The Marvelous Ms. Maisel, so now idea how appropriate she'd be for Lois.

I would love to see somebody do an upbeat, throwback [take on Superman]. I love the Henry Cavill dark and gritty take, but I would love to see the next one be very bright and optimistic.”
https://people.com/movies/rachel-brosnahan-addresses-superman-legacy-casting-rumor-lois-lane/I mean, look, take everything you read on the internet with a grain of salt, is my first piece of advice. But it would be extraordinary. I grew up watching Lois Lane, this incredibly talented journalist who is far from a damsel in distress. And I would jump at the chance if it arose.
But it strikes me that her description of Lois ("this incredibly talented journalist who is far from a damsel in distress") does not sound like the words of someone caught off guard by a question about a character to whom she has given no thought.

Gunn has already promised an emotional Superman and an emotional film:I prefer Henry Cavill's emotionally realistic take on Superman.

I don’t want it to deny that we are, as human beings, emotional characters and that Superman is also that.

Superman '78 is also plenty emotional:
Anyway, a happy, optimistic character is every bit as legitimate as an angsty, tortured one. Positive emotions are emotions, too. They're even "realistic." I know, because I've experienced them. I hope you have also.
What do you mean? Cavil’s Superman smiled. After he took flight for example.
We all have our preferences and favorites, but this character will outlive all of them and all of us. Henry Cavill's portrayal will always be there for his fans to enjoy, as will those of Christopher Reeve, George Reeves, and all the other actors who've worn the "S." IMO, there's no reason you can't enjoy multiple versions, and certainly no reason to dismiss Gunn's take sight unseen. Who knows? Maybe it will be the new "best ever."I still prefer Henry Cavill's portrayal.
