DC Movies - To Infinity and Beyond

Reported in 2014 So by 2023 it will have been 9 years since it was reported to come out in 2018

You have to admit that it's a miracle that Ezra has stayed attached to the movie. He's outlasted 2 or 3 directors and script rewrites. You would expected Ezra to have dropped out in the third year of this movies development due to no movement on it.
 
I find it a little ironic they announced all these date changes, just a few weeks after they released their big "DC in 2022" trailer. I wonder if they'll do a new version with Shazam: Fury of the Gods footage added in, and the Flash, and Aquaman & The Lost Kingdom footage removed?

How much has changed for Marvel and DC? What got delayed or apparently dropped?
 
All I want is a Superman sequel. Green Lantern would be good as well but I could see them focusing on the wrong things there

It's all messed up now. If they wanted Pattinson's Batman to meet Superman he will not be Cavill's Superman. Cavill would have to be replaced with a new interpretation of Superman.

However. The Peacemaker series which ties into the larger Synderverse still acknowledges Synders Superman and Justice League.

So either we have two Supermen franchises or Cavil has to hang up the cape which would be a shame.

I don’t think that new Batoman movie has any relation to anything else. There won’t be any Superman or anyone else showing up in that.
The Flash movie is supposedly set in the DCEU and is having Batfleck being replaced with Keaton, who shortly retires afterwards, passing the mantle to Batgirl. We know there is a Supergirl in it but I believe she is from a possible future. No news as of yet about Superman but The Great One wants Cavil to appear in a future Black Adam movie. The guy is pretty powerful and if his movie is a success, it is possible his wish will be granted.

If Peter and Mary Jane had had a daughter shortly after Spider-Man 3, Mayday would be almost exactly the right age right now.
 
Honestly with everything that has happened the last few years I am just happy when stuff goes into production. Which means it will eventually be released.

Much is made about original release date of The Flash. But think all the stuff in that time - DC and from other studios, that are announced and are in endless development hell and might never get made. Some outright cancelled.

The real hurdle these days is just getting made. When it’s released is based on so many different factors. Plus where! Theater or streaming. Looks like theatrical releases are finally coming back as the preference for studios. For stuff that was planned to be theatrical at least.

Got to give credit to Ezra for sticking with this. Clearly he is committed to it. His cameos in Crisis on TV and recent Peacemaker which was not even planned proves.

It’s frustrating. But all these franchises need to be viewed with long term perspectives now. Never imaged after 2005 to see Ewan McGregor play Obi-Wan again. Or Michael Keaton play Batman after 1992. Sure it’s a longer wait than expected but it’s months not years.
 
The Flash movie getting delayed again has me doing my Charlton Heston impression at the end of the Planet of the Apes.
Gods damn it anyway. Didn't you make us wait long enough WB?

'The Batman' is opening here today and I had to snigger because they played that big DC 2022 trailer just before it and I was like "No. Nope. Nope to that too".

I agree. Those versions make a great trilogy.

Looks like The Batman will be the last D.C movie I go see this year.
