DC launching digital service with Titans and Young Justice

^Yeah, but since Titans is a Berlanti show, it's possible they might want to avoid duplicating characters that have been used in the Arrowverse, like Wally West and Roy Harper. Although it's hard to imagine they wouldn't do their own version of Deathstroke at some point, movies permitting.

There were reports of casting descriptions for a character whose background matches Roy's, so I wouldn't be surprised if we saw him at some point.

There were also reports of casting descriptions for a character whose background matches Wonder Girl's, too, so we really have no way of knowing exactly what Titans-related characters the development team wants to use beyond the team that we know Akiva Goldsman wanted (Robin, Starfire, Raven, Hawk, and Dove) and the addition of Beast Boy, which most likely came at the suggestion of Geoff Johns.

As far as Berlanti goes, we don't really know just how much he has added to the project in terms of creative development since, as noted, the series is essentially the project that Goldsman created for TNT plus or minus a few things, so it's hard to say what previously-existing Titans-related characters we may or may not see.

Netflix Germany just added the first two seasons of Young Justice. I hope this means Netflix has a deal for the international rights to the DC app shows.

That would be great.

I was interested in access to DC's comics catalogue which was mentioned way back when as part of this service, but if it's just the shows I'd much rather have them on Netflix.

Some set photos have given us our first looks at Starfire, Beast Boy, and Raven:

Starfire's look is... not what I expected. Her hair color is very garish, and the ringlet style is not quite what I imagined we'd get. Now, this is reportedly from episode 9, so it's possible that this isn't her default look, that she's styled her hair or donned a wig for some reason. Also, she doesn't have gold skin, which makes me wonder if they're going to alter it digitally, or (again) if she's in some sort of disguise. But that wouldn't explain Gar standing next to her with green hair.

Those set images are NOT reflective of the characters' costumed appearances, so people should cool it with the manufactured outrage.

Wow, this is some 90s superhero looks, meaning both complete shit and basically nothing like the comics. I knew the idiots in charge of the show were not going to have Starfire be orange. I didn't think a superhero show in 2018 could have worse looking characters then Supergirl, but at least on Supergirl characters like Brainiac 5 looked like an alien, even if it was the absolute worst make up in any modern superhero show at least it was an attempt. Starfire is just the actress with weird hair. There isn't a single person on the planet who would identify her as Starfire, which I guess is the new norm with the shit superhero shows based on DC properties.

It takes the MCU to actually keep aliens their actual color, I guess. Between "Starfire" not being Orange, Beast Boy only having green hair and (for a non DC example that fits perfectly) Domino not being white, if you want characters that keep the comic book colors look to the MCU, where Gamora and drax are green and Nebula is blue, with no bullshit excuses for making them look like standard humans with some little gimmick or wig stuck on them.

Someone on twitter actually pointed out that this does resemble one Marvel product...The Inhumans. Same level of shit costuming that completely misses the point, and its also hiding any characters look that might make the show spend money on a consistent basis if they actually tried. The Inhumans isn't run by the MCU movie people so I don't count my general opinion on thye MCU getting it right to be incorrect, but its funny that the absolute worst pile of shit related to the MCU is the thing Titans is closest to.

The officially released in-costume character portraits looked great so far, so I see no reason to freak out over some candid out-of-context behind the scenes photos, but that never stops the interwebs, so carry on...

You clearly didn't get the memo, so let me repeat myself:
These on-set pictures ARE NOT representative of the characters' costumed appearances.

^On the contrary, these on-set pictures ABSOLUTELY TOTALLY FOR CERTAIN ARE representative of the characters' costumed appearances.

(Actually, I don't know one way or the other, but why let a little thing like that stop me from making an assertion of absolute fact?)

I'm not kidding when I say that I thougght they ALL looked like mediocre Cosplayers at a comic convention (then I saw a few comments below on that Twitter feed where others were thinking the same thing. The Costumes look bad.

I do find it surprising that they haven't released official photos of those three before. If we'd seen what they looked like in full costume and makeup beforehand, as we did with Robin, Hawk, and Dove, there wouldn't have been such an overreaction to what are obviously candid photos of the actors partly in street clothes.

There are legitimate production-related reason that official promo shots for these character's costumes haven't been released yet.

And those would be?

Also, says who?

Also also, is there a reason for this posting style of yours where you make definitive assertions of supposed fact without offering any support or attribution?
