Jeff Kring at a con apparently stated that creators will be able to use the pre-52 characters but then Rich stated that he was told afterwards he wasn't supposed to say that so maybe they were waiting for SDCC to announce that.
As mentioned by myself and others earlier in the thread and in the regular 52'Verse thread "Convergence" was nothing more than dressed up filler to cover the two month move to Burbank from New York. It was spun as a way for those of us who were missing previous characters to see them again. It was never meant to be an event...their actual event is the just starting "Darkseid War". If it were a true event there would have put their marquee creative teams on the book, but it was also designed to give them a break while making the move. I hope fans understand this. It also took many different forms over the course of the several months that it was put together and originally according to Rich, they were considering not putting out any books for the move, just going dark.
I did give a chance but ultimately decided to drop it. I had a mostly DC free couple of months with the exception of the "Arkham Knight" book and "He-Man: The Eternity War".
