This is making me think of someone who is a fusion of Michael Cera and John Cena, which is horrifying to think about

Yeah, sorry, Michael Cena was a brain fart. I meant, of course, the George Clooney version.

Would that be a normal looking guy of average build?

I was imaging Cera's head and voice on John Cena's body, which I guess would kind of be like Cera becoming a pale Incredible Hulk in comparison to his normal size.

I finished Wonder Woman: Historia today, and I seriously hope this will be the main source material for the Paradise Lost series James Gunn announced.

The oddball manga series Superman vs. Meshi is getting an English language release later this year:

And, oh yeah, guess there are a couple of Batcentric manga coming, too. :p

Time for solicits are nearing, and there are some news of what to expect. Both The Flash and Wonder Woman will relaunch with new #1 after there respective #800s. Hawkgirl will get her own title, and "Steelworks" starring John Henry and Natasha Irons will launch, to be written by ... Michael Dorn?!

Definitely down with a "Steel(s)" title, but I'm with you ... Michael Dorn?! :wtf:

Yes, the Michael Dorn. There is a connection, as he voiced John Henry Irons in a few episodes of Superman TAS, but that's about it. But I'm not aware of him having any previous writing credits, at least not in comics. So, yeah, curious to see what he brings to the table.

Doesn't look like he has any writing credits at all, though as with any actor whose played an iconic character for any length of time he was presumably at least somewhat involved in shaping Worf's character at least in the later years.

Plus, anyone whose read as many scripts as he must have would have at least some knowledge of writing. That said, I suspect a staff writer will be involved as a "helper" even if he gets the main credit.

    June solicits are out.

    - Steelworks is a definite get. I mean, the curiosity about Michael Dorn alone ...

    - The Flash and Wonder Woman have their respective #800 anniversary issues, which go the anthology route. Flash has a Mark Waid story! I'm already subscribed to both books, so I'll obviously get them, but even if not, yeah, I'd buy those.

    - The by-now annual DC Pride anthology special, easy get. The companion piece "DC Pride: Through the Years" is a collection of single issues across the DCU that were major steps in LGBTQ+ representation, with one new Alan Scott story. I have most of those single issues, and I don't think a short story starring Alan Scott gets me to pay another ten bucks.

    - New series of one-shot Static team-ups launches with Virgil teaming up with Anansi. I remember the Anansi episode from the cartoon. I've gone over to waiting for the collected editions with the Milestone stuff, so here's hoping these oneshots will be collected, as well.

    - Lazarus Planet hardcover. Hm. I mean, thirty bucks for a 300+ pages hardcover is a good price. Maybe I'll get that and won't wait for the softcover to come out.

    - Looks like Black Adam is over with #12. Was it always announced as a limited series? Thought it was an ongoing. Oh, well.
