Majors was supposed to do some heavy lifting through several films. I doubt that a big controversy is gonna arise because the dude playing a one-off villain in Supergirl might turn out to be problematic IRL.

Matt Smith as Brainiac is a casting I'd never have thought of but sounds amazing. I hope if we see Brainiac in the new DCU, we get the green alien version and not the generic robot version (although the green version using the robot version as cover/a decoy is acceptable). I've never really liked the totally AI versions of Brainiac, or tying him to Krypton (the DCAU Brainiac was one of the weaker "big" villains of the animated shows in my opinion).

I hope no one buys Warner Bros. Because I think if Paramount buys it, it could lead to some Trump-opposing actors in Warner Bros. and HBO series and movies losing their jobs and attracting fewer offers from "those" actors. If Netflix buys it, they'll release fewer movies in theaters. I hope no one buys it.

And Netflix has already said if they buy WB, they'll continue to release their movies in theaters the same way they always have.

This whole thing is so ridiculous, because if Paramount bought it, it would be even more of a monopoly than Netflix, since it has a much bigger presence througout the entire entertainment industry than Netflix does.

Since she's obviously not Catwoman, my next thought would be Vicki Vale. If the series were less grounded I would have also thought Poison Ivy, but I can't really see her fitting in the world they've set up for the Batman Epic Crime Saga.

Even if Warner Bros. is sold, I don't think it will be before its 2026 split. Beyond that, based on Netflix's track record, I don't trust anything they say. Even if they keep their promises, very few movies will be released theatrically.
