DC Cinematic Universe ( The James Gunn era)

I'm starting to think Nicholas Hault might be our best movie Luthor yet.

Honestly, that wouldn't be hard. Hackman gave a terrific performance, but that version of the character wasn't a very good representation of Lex Luthor. And the only other live-action film Luthors are Lyle Talbot, Kevin Spacey, and Jesse Eisenberg. The best Luthors to date have all been in television -- Sherman Howard, Clancy Brown, Michael Rosenbaum, Jon Cryer. We'll have to see how Hoult stands up against them, although I agree it looks promising.

From the canceled shows thread:

We now have the outside possibility of Spider-Man joining the DC movie universe in a few years, assuming Sony really does announce the acquisition of Warner Brothers in 2027.

They’re crossing the streams, man! Worlds are gonna collide!

So far, the Sony rumor has no apparent traction on reputable industry news sites - it seems to be a creature of the gaming sites. Possibly Sony's looking at Warners' gaming division.

We'll see...
