DC Cinematic Universe ( The James Gunn era)

Yeah, that sounds like it could be fun, the way they describe the animation sounds a bit like what Laika, the studio who made Paranorman, Coraline, and Missing Link, does.

ThunderBatman is GO! ;)

Gunn posted the motion version on Threads as well. I'm guessing that's where Younis got it. 'Tis nice whoever did it, though.

Krypto looks very cute, but this is a bit of change from how he's usually presented. Usually he looks closer to a lab, not this scruffy little guy, not that I have a problem with this, I just thought it was an interesting change. And yes I read Gunn's post, so I understand the context of the change.

I guess Gunn thought he was the best actor for the role.

I've usually seen him designed to look like a lab or around that size, which are kinda medium size dogs, big dogs are things like Great Danes, Irish Wolf Hounds or Kangals.

So, narratively, this is coming off of Waller's Task Force X being exposed at the end of Peacemaker season 1, and now Congress tried to shut it down. Leave it to Waller to find a loophole. It kind of feels like The Suicide Squad 2, which I'm not complaining about.

Gunn with an update on Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow. At least one Ruthye candidate has screen-tested with Milly Alcock, so I would expect a casting announcement there soon. They seriously need to nail that one, since that performance is going to be at least as important as Alcock's (assuming the story follows the graphic novel at all closely).

Ugh, I liked Peacemaker S1 and DP&W well enough, but I'm getting pretttttty darn tired of the "Har har, isn't it hilarious that these vicious goofballs are also adorable killers" trope. Not only is it tired, it's starting to remind me more than a little of Cheeto's whole "the flippant and juvenile attitude excuses the cruelty and violence" shtick. I certainly hope Cheeto loses and this trope will merely seem played out in the coming years, because if he wins, I could easily see this and future Peacemaker seasons seeming actively noxious.
