David Carradine has died

Suicide or auto-erotic asphyxiation gone wrong?
NOW I CAN'T HELP BUT LAUGH!:guffaw::guffaw::guffaw:

TBH, it looks that way to me, and so I can see why the news reports have changed to protect the family's blushes, but...

All I can think is that to go in a sex thing in one's 70s, sounds like something to aspire to. I mean it's got to be better than cancer or Alzheimers or anything of that sort...

Ya but from all reports he was in great health. If this had not happened he easily could have been around and in good condition another 10 years. So I dont think its something to aspire to in this case. Maybe if he was bed-ridden and really old.

^ I was surprised when you said he was in The Mentalist. I watch the show and don't remember ever seeing him, so I checked it out.

Just last week I dug up my old Kung Fu: The Legend Continues tapes to transfer to DVD and rewatch. Damnit. He was one of my favorites. He could make the most mediocre film watchable if he was in it enough. And he just got better looking with age which not many can pull off. I'll have to watch Safari 3000 again.

^ I still have a Season 3 Kung Fu episode paused on my dvd at home where I left it last night. This is all so sad.

What a horribly embarassing way to go, and to be honest you can't help but chuckle.
It doesn't raise a chuckle from me at all. If he died in a way that causes his family even more pain than a death would normally do, or if it diminishes his memory, then that's a sad thing.

Damn, I thought he was great in Kill Bill. However he may have died (I read that his attorney is urging people not to jump to conclusions, hoping that a full investigation will prove he didn't kill himself... but of course, one would expect his representation to say such things), I hope people will focus on his legacy rather than his death.

R.I.P. :(

This is sad.

To be honest, I haven't seen a whole lot of his work. This is odd of course since he was ridiculously prolific.

I am, however a huge fan of the Kill Bill films (kudos to everyone for not going for the obvious joke yet) and it's sad to think there won't be any more new work of that caliber from this man anymore.

RIP, Mr. Carradine.

I used to love him in Kung Fu. He wasn't the greatest actor in the world, but he definitely had presence. I thought he was brilliant in Kill Bill - I wish it had given him more of a springboard to bigger roles. Hard to believe he was 72.

RIP Kwai Chang Caine.

Read it this morning, very, very sad.

I have no idea why an awesome actor would decide to kill himself at the age of 72.

I have all three seasons on DVD, but your post reminded me that I haven't watched any of Season 3 yet. It's still in the plastic wrap, as a matter of fact. I saw it years ago when it was in rerun on TNT, but that was long enough ago that I only remember a handful of the episodes. Particularly memorable was the two-parter featuring his then-girlfriend, Barbara Hershey (calling herself Barbara Seagull back in those days).

Well, this is awful. :(

David Carradine was an incredible, unique actor, and he meant a great deal to me personally. Kwai Chang Caine was one of the heroes of my childhood. I have all three seasons of Kung Fu on DVD. He made a huge impression on me as a kid.

He was great in everything he did, including Alias and Kill Bill. Even a silly B-Movie like Q was elevated by his presence.

I don't really care how he died, I just wish he was still alive. :(

I loved his earlier work. More recently, he always seemed to have a very haunted look on his face. Very world-weary...

RIP David Carradine
