thought i would try my hand at a ship from just after the enterprise series.
Perhaps the warp seven 'beauties old Malcolm mentioned in the last episode.
at present I have the rough shapes of where the ship design is going.
the red boxes are two ideas i have as to where to put the impulse engine. the saucer/ring is where a lot of the crew quarters were moved to in order to make room for the larger warp core/reactor. got some work to do on the deflector area and also the hanger bay area which seems to stick out a bit too far.
the overall thought behind the ship is that it's a larger version of the Daedalus class built at the same time. the size is not too much larger maybe 20% but I haven't nailed down the exact size.
Originally this was to be my hero ship for a Romulan war story I'm trying to write but though a novel states that merriwether (sp?) piloted a Daedalus class I found some other information that the ships weren't built until just after the war ended.
I know the Daedalus were decomissoned in 2197
