Voyager was not known as being a particularly dark series, but there were some exceptions that proved the rule.

What are some of the darkest Voyager episodes?

I think it's the episode called "Course Oblivion" I think it was. Everyone finds out they aren't who they really thought they were, Torres dies after marrying Tom Paris and then they all die and to make things worst is they aren't even able to preserve their memory by having the probe get destroyed before it can reach the real Voyager. Granted in theory they might still be remembered by some since they did have some adventures of their own which means they did impact other aliens in the DQ but it still feels like a tragic ending.

I also think of Equinox, The Killing Game and Extreme Risk.

Mortal Coil and Extreme Risk come to mind first. Jetrel also has some very dark moments.

Some episodes are not all dark but have some scenes that are pretty dark. The end of Tuvix for example

A lot of very good, dark episodes mentioned already. But I'm surprised no-one brought up “Night”. Not only has it very little light, it's also rather dark in its theme of loneliness and hopelessness.

Yes...Juggernaut. Good episode with some dark moments

"MEMORIAL" - I thought it was a great episode, but it delved into dark territory, having crewmembers relive a massacre from different perspectives. That would drive a lot of people nuts.

Survival Instinct, where the ex-drones don't get a happy ending.

The three darkest episodes in my book (in this order) are THE CHUTE, NEMESIS and RETROSPECT.

Macrocosm. Half the lights are turned out. And that one without stars...the void? Really Dark out those windows.

Actually, most of the episodes dealing with great darkness in some way, feature Neelix heavily. Go figure.

You really think so? I don't. I've always found both "VOYAGER" and "DEEP SPACE NINE" to be on the grim side. Nevertheless, here are some of the episodes I found rather grim:
