Your unorthodox chronology notwithstanding, this is a great new intro that perfectly foreshadows the events to come as well as establishes the major players and their motivations.

Ugh! I don't like QT. Beyond that, thanks for your comments. Unfortunately my computer issues continue (I'm at the library right now), so I don't know when I will be able to return to this forum regularly to complete this story. But depending on how long it takes it's a good guess that I will be revising it yet again.

Sounds like you and I have the same problem, Darkush.

Don't worry about the editing. I've heard the only difference between a great writer and a novice is the amount they edit. (I don't edit much...can you tell? - don't answer that. )

Well some people are so good editing really isn't needed. Thanks again for both of your comments. And when I am back up and running I do intend to finish this story. But let me repeat that it will be different because I'm thinking of new things to add or to change even while I'm sorting out this computer mess.
